This design was edited from a larger rug found at the Hemmingway Estate in Key West, FL. This rug took months to complete and was made by a textile instructor in Stowe VT. This is an English wool rug made by a textile instructor in Stowe, VT.  Because it is english wood, it is naturally moisture resistant, fade resistant and moth resistant and can be washed by hand. This rug took 4 months to complete, it has fantastic shading and real depth, the colors are subtle and soft.  It can be a wall hanging if you do not have the heart to put it on the floor, but I am told that it will soften and become so much more beautiful with use and with time.
